Birthday x2
Hiro's birthday was this past weekend and mine is this coming weekend, but since I will be busy then, we decided to have our birthdays together.
I gave Hiro a bunch of imported Pop Tarts. I couldnt think of anything else. He was really surprised (in a good way). He gave me a life-size talking Pochama (Pokemon character) - which wasnt a surprise since it was what I asked for. Kinda sad...someone of my age asking for a talking Pokemon for her birthday. But its really cute and says different things (well, variations on its own name) depending on how you hold it.
Then we went out to lunch at Bikkuri Donkey and stuffed ourselves full of delicious hamburg. Then we took purikura:

Which one do you like the best? LOL
After that, we went to see a movie. Tropic Thunder. It was great! I worried that the humor might be hard for Hiro to get (even with subtitles, which usually screw up any attempt at verbal humor), but he laughed alot so I was happy. I love Ben Stiller! And I have to say that I've never seen Robert Downey, Jr. before in anything, but he was striking in this movie.
I'm pretty sure I was the only person in the theater who got the Al Pacino joke though... LOL
